CompareSenseCAP S2100 Data Logger can connect to MODBUS-RTU RS485/Analog/GPIO sensors and transmit data from sensors to the LoRaWAN network. Benefits from LoRa and IP66 design, this device features stability and reliability and can cover a long transmission range while keeping ultra-low power consumption, ideal for outdoor use. It is specifically optimized for OTA with built-in Bluetooth, which enables quick setup and update. It can be battery-powered or connected to a 12V external power supply. When the 12V power supply is connected, the replaceable built-in battery is set to be used as the backup power supply. What’s more, with the help of S2110 converter, S2100 Data Logger is able to connect to Grove Sensor, it is an ideal solution for developing, fast prototyping, and small deployment for DIY Industrial level LoRaWAN Sensors.
S2100 LoRaWAN Data Logger supports MODBUS-RTU RS485/Analog/GPIO input and transmit the data from sensors to the LoRaWAN network.
It can cover a transmission range of 2km in urban scenes and 10km in line-of-sight scenes while keeping lower power consumption during the transmission process. It supports -40 ~ 85℃ operating temperature and can be deployed in harsh environments. With Bluetooth 5.0 for easy configuration and firmware upgrade, It is also compatible with a wide range of frequencies(863MHz ~928MHz), different gateways, and LoRaWAN network servers.
Option 1: the data logger can work in Periodic mode. Powered by a built-in 19Ah Standard D-size Li-SOCl2 battery which is easy to buy online, it can be installed and deployed in an outdoor environment without additional power.
Option 2: the data logger can work in Constant Power mode with an external 12V DC power supply. We provide a matching Junction Box Kit so that the data logger can be quickly assembled.
S2100 LoRaWAN Data Logger is a single-channel collector, and only supports one of the following protocols at one time:
LoRaWAN® gateways can provide LoRaWAN® network coverage which is required when using S210x. S210X can be connected to different LoRaWAN® gateways. Here at Seeed, we provide 2 options for choosing the gateways.
Helium Network: Sensors work in areas covered by Helium Network (Helium Explorer). Seeed offers 2 gateways for Helium network – SenseCAP M1 and SenseCAP M2.
LoRaWAN Network: S21XX is fully compliant with LoRaWAN specifications and can be used with gateways support different LNS like The Things Network, Loriot, Chirpstack, etc. we also provide SenseCAP Outdoor Gateway and the indoor SenseCAP M2 Multiplatform Gateway to help you use S210X seamlessly.
Seeed provides the SenseCAP Portal platform and SenseCAP Mate APP to help users better manage and check data remotely.
SenseCAP Portal is a web service to enable users to manage SenseCAP devices and view data through the web.
SenseCAP Mate is a powerful APP for data visualization and remote device management.
Apart from working with existing sensor nodes, the S2100 data-logger can also be connected with SenseCAP S2110 Grove Converter to achieve a plug-and-play outdoor LoRaWAN sensor deployment experience with various selections of Grove Sensors. It is an ideal solution for developing, fast prototyping, and small deployment for DIY Industrial level LoRaWAN Sensors. To ensure that the performance and durability of the sensors are consistent with their specifications throughout the complete lifecycle, SenseCAP S210X went through 6 reliability tests before releasing and met the requirements to perform perfectly in extreme conditions.

The frequency plan setting is none by default and it will not transmit an RF signal until it has been set by App via Bluetooth at the first power-up. And it can be changed to other frequency plans at any time.
